These terms apply to Scanio and to all of its systems and services — including the Seaclops (offshore marine) and Satinel (remote terrestrial) systems and the GMaaS — Global Monitoring as a Service — platform. Last updated 2 July 2026.

Privacy Policy

Scanio (“we”, “us”) provides monitoring for satellite-connected devices. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is written to apply uniformly across Seaclops, Satinel, and the GMaaS platform.

Information we collect

• Account data — name, email, organisation, and role for the people you authorise to use GMaaS.
• Device telemetry — positions, status, and messages reported by your Seaclops and Satinel systems over SatCom.
• Usage and billing data — message consumption per device, subscription and node/system records.
• Technical data — logs, IP addresses, and diagnostics needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use it

• To deliver monitoring, mapping, geofencing, alerts, and analytics.
• To meter messages, administer subscriptions, and provide support.
• To secure the platform, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

Anonymisation and sharing

Where the service offers anonymisation, personal or sensitive identifiers are removed or masked before data is processed for analytics. We do not sell your data. We share it only with processors that help us run the service, or where required by law.

Retention and your rights

We keep data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal requirements. You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data by contacting us at info@scanio.live.

Terms of Service

The service

Scanio provides the GMaaS platform and the Seaclops and Satinel systems on an annual subscription priced per node/system. Features included with a subscription are described on the Plans section of our site and may evolve over time.

Subscriptions and messages

Subscriptions are billed annually per node/system and include a SatCom message allowance for continuous cloud communication. Additional usage beyond the included allowance may be subject to further charges as agreed with you.

Acceptable use

• Use the service only for lawful monitoring of devices and systems you are authorised to operate.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the platform.
• Keep your access credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your accounts.

Availability and warranties

We work to keep the service reliable but provide it “as is”, without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation. Satellite connectivity depends on third-party networks outside our control.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Scanio is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
